Don't get comfy on the couch this winter season when you and your family can be outside enjoying the snow!   Haven't skied in years?  Waiting for the kids to get older to take them out?  Not ready for that season pass? 

 

Not to worry....More than ever ski resorts are offering special lift ticket packages, beginner and rental programs and overnight specials.  We found discount programs that begin with as few as 3-one day lift tickets and discounts for weekend and holiday skiing.   Even more packages for overnight stays and incentives to stay longer.

WINdham and HunTER ski resorts, located in New York's Catskill Mountains developed a "WINTER Card".  Two visits to Hunter Mountain plus two visits to Windham for only $129.  Tickets must be purchased by December 24, 2008 to be used during the 08-09 ski season.

 

Gore Mountain located in the Adirondack Mountains of New York State offers a Snow Sampler (Four Pack) which is great for families: Four fully transferable tickets valid any day of the 2008/2009 season at either Gore or Whiteface Mountains for $225.   All Snow Sampler vouchers have an expiration of Closing Day, Spring 2009.   But hurry...must be purchased by December 14th.

 

Receive $10 off a regular price Day or Twilight Adult Lift Ticket Monday through Friday (non-holiday) or receive a beginner package for only $40 including rentals, lift and lesson at Blue Mountain Ski Area located between the Pocono Mountains and the Lehigh Valley.  See coupon on page 5.

 

Shawnee Ski Area in Pocono Mountains boosts their "Miser programs".  Select from 5 midweek lift tickets for $115 per person ($180 with rentals) or 3 weekend/holiday lift tickets for $102 per person ($152 with rentals).   A 3-day "learn to ski or board Miser Program" is also available at $185.00 per person.

Hurry, programs must be purchased by Dec 24.

 

Check out Bear Creek Mountain Resort, located in the Lehigh Valley, which offers pre-registration for your ski rentals!  Fill out your information online, go to the rental shop upon arrival and the staff will equip you based on the information you submitted.  A great time saver! Sunday night at Bear Creek is Family Night with a bundled rate of $74 for up to six members of your family.

 

A $50 deposit is all you need to reserve your family's winter vacation at Smugglers Notch in Vermont.   When staying at Smuggs, the Fun Zone Family Entertainment Center, two Teen Centers, off-slope activities for families and adults, discounts for child care and return visits are all included.  Check it out.
